Just about the last of this Autumn 2022 Jingmai Black #2 from Farmer Leaf. Mostly small and broken leaves, keeping steeps short. Should maybe have brewed Western style.
2020 Imperial Pure Bud Yunnan Black Tea of Simao from Yunnan Sourcing. I actually like this tea a lot more 4 years out than when I first got it. Not that it has developed in any meaningful way, like Puerh might, mostly it has just mellowed.
Alas, this really is the last dose of Astro Red Yunnan black tea from White2Tea. Gonna be some hard choices next "Red Saturday". Until then, I will savor this today.
Down to a couple doses of Astro Red Yunnan black tea from White2Tea. This one was mostly dust and broken leaves. Keeping the steeps very short, basically water in, pour it out. Should probably have used tea strainer.
One More Red Saturday, cue the King Crimson, Astro Red black tea from White2Tea. (Gotta spend some time in the stash today and locate the Astro Kittens cake for comparison.)
Over the years, I have mostly settled on Taiwanese black tea for travel tea. Always enjoyable no matter the brewing situation. For this trip to Guerneville, CA, I brought DalunShan Red High Mountain Oolong via Mud and Leaves.
Last of the (mostly) One River Tea Osmanthus scented black tea "Gui Hua Hong". (Technically, a blend of One River and MyTeaPal osmanthus scented black teas filled out with some "Fujian Breakfast" black tea from White2Tea.)
Osmanthus Monday, finishing bags of two Osmanthus scented black teas with a blend of the two. (One was a little heavy and one a little light, blend about just right.)
Imperial Pure Bud Yunnan Black Tea of Simao is another tongue twister of a tea from Yunnan Sourcing. Fortunately, it is a very pleasant and well priced malty black tea that they make pretty much every year.
Working again on similar teas, Osmanthus Scented Qi Hong (qimen/keemun black tea) from MyTeaPal. Pleasantly light osmanthus flavor allows the tea to shine and the osmanthus scent to complement.
Dragon cup for the last year of the Chinese New Year festival, filled with Astro Red from White2Tea. May your year be prosperous and filled with good fortune!
2021 "Dancong Hong" from One River Tea. I don't find this tea on their website currently, so not sure if it was a one-off or is a regular offering. From the packaging, I can see it is a Black tea made in Phoenix Township, aka Dancong Oolong central. It is a fine tasty everyday black tea, (but not in the same league with White2Tea's Milan Red).
