Welcome back to the #bofuri#animedon#rewatch. Today we're on Season 1, Episode 9, "Defense and Fourth Event."
The first half of the episode focuses on the preparation for the upcoming guild war. Particular focus is placed upon Frederica dueling Sally to gain more info, which is an interesting way to have them fight but also once again shows how jank NWO is that Sally can just call out fake skills and people go "I mean, I guess that could be real."
The second shows the start of the war as Maple Tree wrecks everyone's shit, even as Flame Emperors and Holy Sword make their presence known. Plus we get the first appearance of sad wet rat Mii.
Welcome back to the #bofuri#animedon#rewatch. Today, we're on Season 1, Episode 8, "Defense and Third Event."
Even though it's in the episode title, the third event isn't really all that important. Instead, the focus is on Maple gaining two of her most valuable skills and my personal favorites: Atrocity and Machine God. While the fights themselves are not to the same standard as ones we've seen or will see, they still show off Maple's evergrowing power within the game and the ways she utilizes her skills in creative ways - as long as she doesn't mind no longer being human.

My poll has ended up with a tie between Bofuri and Ice Guy. Between the two, I have decided that #bofuri will be the next #animedon#rewatch I'll host. The rewarch itself will start in 3 days on the 24th. Our posts will go up at midnight utc. Here's what the schedule looks like:

For this week's #SeiyuuSaturday, we'll be looking at one of the most acclaimed voice actresses of her generation, #SaoriHayami (b. 1991), who's been voice acting since 2007.
Next up, we're going back to a series I covered last week with 2020's #Bofuri and Hayami's role as Kasumi, the swordswoman of Maple Tree. Kasumi is something quite different from what we've seen so far in Hayami; a proud and noble character, Hayami provides a deeper voice (similar to Fate's Saber) to give a strong, determined impression of a young woman you don't want to mess with. However, some typical Hayami traits still show up, like her older sister energy and occasionally finding herself flustered.
