Another color film I developed and scanned: the insides of a dining venue where I volunteered this past Easter. 50 years ago, a drag queen started feeding the homeless, and later those with HIV, in the Tenderloin neighborhood where I live.
It's a wonderful program that feeds hot meals to anyone who shows up every Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

When I was in college in Singapore I frequently organized random and spontaneous train and minivan trips to Thailand with my friends. They were a bit of a slog, but the view was always worth it. Also, many people willingly followed me across 2 international borders and 4 changes of public transportation?!
My favorite street food in the world is Malaysian street food (and Thai. And Vietnamese. And Indonesian. And all of the street food of my part of the world). Sometimes it comes to your door, without having to leave.

@skinnylatte in Melbourne in the early 90s I had lots of uni friends who'd come to study from Singapore and Malaysia. I heard all the stories about all this wonderful AUD 50 cent roadside food, but it took me until the beginning of the 00s to finally get there to visit some of them and discover that it was all true!
I had the opportunity to show a few children how film cameras worked, and even though it felt expensive to let random children take photos with film cameras, I know that that’s how I fell in love with it as a child, and hope they’ll remember it some day. Also excited to see what photos I get back from the lab. Sometimes children have the best eye.
