@Josefius Lately, I've been running 20m WSPR with the QCX mini at 200 mW WSPR beacon has picked me up all over the US, Canada, Japan, VK land, and most of Europe
My POTA flag caught the attention of the U.S. Coast Guard while patrolling the Ohio River during my #POTA#parksontheair#Morsecode P2P QSO with Dave #K2JVB at US-0679 Fire Island National Seashore, Long Island, NY to the banks of the Ohio River. #AmateurRadio#hamradio
for me, the red checkered tablecloth on the table has immediately evoked a warm Inn under the arbors in the French countryside, on a sunny afternoon, refreshed by a cheerful little river...
Got in a #Morsecode#pota#parksontheair activation early this morning before T-Storms. I get so EXCITED when I have a QSO with someone from Social Media, like this Park-to-Park with Scott #KW4NJA @medic1027 from GA to KY #AmateurRadio#Hamradio
The BEST park of #parksontheair#POTA. THE VIEWS! Early morning #moreseCode activation on the Lewis & Clark National Historical Trail US-4572 on the banks of the Ohio River at Louisville, KY. USA. Where's Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn? #AmateurRadio#hamradio
@N4JAW it doesn't make a lot of difference imo, just helps suppress wide signals close to you. You might try QRZ forums, that's how I got mine for around 100 bucks.
@Josefius Oh I've seen them for sale over the years but I guess I'm just use to operating without them since I was first licensed back in the 60's. I've got them on my Ten Tec rigs st the shack and my FT891 buy rarely use it.
