So we have via rail tickets booked for August and naturally I loaded the tickets in Apple Wallet… then a few days later I got an email saying the schedule was going to change and now I’ve gotten 2 new sets of tickets and I’m sick of adding and deleting tickets 🥸 I should be able to just use the same set of tickets regardless of what schedule changes but I’m annoyed at this process. If the time changes by 5 minutes and I need a whole new set of tickets? Gesus… #ottawa#viarail
@shawnhooper@casseagull my limited cameras are from unifi. All local storage which gives me peace of mind that I’m the only one looking. Lots of critters but there’s a shocking amount of traffic in my dead end laneway
I like how governments seem to be on the hook for all anti theft measures because automakers have completely failed consumers and, it seems, convinced everyone that it’s not their responsibility
Like these ghouls extract billions in subsidies, spy on their customers to the extent, apparently, of reporting on how much sex you’re having along with location and driving habits… but not the basics like remotely secure radio systems or even serial numbers.
I wonder if there has been a time other than now when more of the NCC pathways along the Ottawa River (both sides) have had so many closures, other than during flooding and rehabilitation. It's kind of astounding how much of it is closed and detoured.
@casseagull barely accessible. The ottawa river paths near downtown are basically gone from my mental map. If the close Alexandria we’ll loose the river and gatineau from the east for a generation.
@grivettcarnac on a four lane divided highway (baseline). Facing a parking lot. Next to a two story house that looks exactly like the proposed building. On a huuuge lot. Near a university. People have lost their fucking minds about shitty suburbs and the reality of what they’re going to look like in 30 years.
Recruiter desperation seems to be on the rise again, phone is ringing more often from recruiters who still have my resume floating around from when I last shared it 15+ years ago.
I went to have a look at LinkedIn after reading an article that "LinkedIn is the new Twitter", it's looking about the same as usual.
Firefox was struggling with it, AdNauseum was getting really excited about clicking a bunch of new ads that I don't see.
A whole bunch of people in my organization have started using a huge font in their emails for accessibility reasons as if programs don't have built in font handling that make them more accessible for their users.
As someone with attention problems, I find it very hard to read for the opposite reason because it's too big and makes it hard to focus.
So ads? "Canadians need a strong, innovative and independent public broadcaster that is ready to meet the challenges of this period of transformation and upheaval in news and content creation," St-Onge said in a media statement Monday.
Fire everyone and churn out unedited AI nonsense? - The panel will help her promote Canadian culture, stories, languages, artists and creators, "while adapting to our rapidly changing broadcast and digital landscape," she added.
