"Why do you think it’s on disabled people to educate everyone?" Hmm well bc when you aren't disabled yourself, you may find difficult, at first glance, to know precisely what disabled ppl really need?
It's like, idk, I'm white so yes, I know that I'm favoured compared to non-white ppl, but how would I have a full understanding of the difficulties of non-white ppl if nobody take the time to explain?

@quietmarc @axnxcamr @theautisticcoach @CStamp @actuallyautistic @communism I don't remember asking anyone to "do more". I'm just saying that the ppl most able to communicate about difficulties encountered by a minority are ppl from this minority themselves.
It remembers me feminists discussing if yes or no men can fight with feminists. Some said yes but as friends/support but not as speakers bc feminism is women empowerment thus women will speak for themselves. Same idea here.

No, to be a good leftist, you accept to be teached by others (disabled, non-white, whatever minority) and then you try your best to help or at least not to be an ennemy.
Let disabled ppl speak in their own name! ;)

@actuallyautistic A lot of people on here talk about meltdowns as a regular, visible thing. I know we're all different, but this is so far from my experience I started feeling a little impostery. I have had melts before, ie I've completely lost control and either: fled to save myself and others from me, or sort of left my body like a blackout (while still walking/talking) ... 1/

@independentpen @actuallyautistic I suppose I had meltdowns when I was a young child, preschool I think. Now I turned to be a control-freak so it seems that my emotions and mind are living a sort of divorce with my body as a mediator. I don't have meltdowns anymore and I can often handle stressful situations until I reach a point of anxiety so strong that my body explains to me I'm in fact in full anxiety mod through various physical symptoms.

Autrefois les nobles et puissants avaient peur et mourraient par la main d'anarchistes.

I've got a theory on NTs. They are total narcissists, in that tgey only can care about their own emotional state. To a NT, the problem of the coming omnicide isn't a problem because of the death and destruction already in the mail. It's a problem because it's hard to block out awareness of that, and that messes up their current emotional state, interfering with their ability to live life the way they want. 1/

I have a simple question: would you write the same message about another whole group, like, idk, "black people" or "gays" or "trans" and still find it correct ?

Every living being care about themselves. Some so hard that they live alone and meet another individual only for mating. Others like primates chose the herd way through evolution. Saying NTs are all selfish is like saying autistics are all deprived of empathy.

    Hey, i asked this the other day, but in a confusing manner. I've condensed it, and think it's really worth asking.

    We can describe autism in a freudian manner. Autists are stuck in our superego.

    So who are our opposites? What's the diagnosis for purely social people who are pathologically stuck in their ego?

    Anyone know?

    @Uair @actuallyautistic nothing good came from freudian theories for autistic ppl. Freud was obsessed with sex (and we can find famous 19th century ppl who aren't that strong, it's not a "matter of time") and most of his demonstrations were turned against women. And even if his theories could have been accurate with his century's mood, lots of medics until the late 1980's still applied absurdly his theories, against all scientific proofs.
    So please, no Freud in autism.

    @Uair @actuallyautistic I'm not sure Freud has anything to say about autism, and, in general, about any ND phenomenon. His manner of exploring psychologic functioning was novel and interesting at that time and opened a wide new window, but his conclusions are now out of date.

    Well, using common vocabulary is great, using common accurate vocabulary is even better. We can use archeocortex, paleocortex and neocortex and all these neuronal circuits well described now instead of inadequate terminology.
    Using freudian theory to explain autism led to rejecting the 'autism fault' on mothers until the 2000's (still the 'ol' time manner'?), and awful treatments on children, including taking them away from their parents.

    @Gala préparer à manger la veille comme pour n'importe quel jour travaillé.
    Sinon faire n'importe quel plat mijoté (dahl, risotto, lasagnes de légumes) et bosser le temps que ça cuit.

    1. une personne blanche n'est pas nécessairement une "française de souche" et peut être une personne immigrée
    2. les deux photos présentées par le musée sont pas vraiment des portraits de personnes blanches
    3. vu le nombre de Blancs en France, il est statistiquement très probable que 10 personnes random sur une photo soient blanches
    4. la plupart des personnes qui bitchent sur l'immigration sont blanches et donc c'est elles qui ont aussi besoin de ce tour au musée

    T1 (1 chb séparée) de 48m2, balcon, 1er étage avec ascenseur, place de parking couvert. Immeuble calme, récent, très bien isolé (peu de dépenses de chauffage). Chaudière gaz.
    Quartier Bourg-Léveque.
    Attention : aucun aménagement de cuisine (juste un évier).
    Location via agence Square Habitat.
    Loyer : un peu + de 600€ charges incluses.
