The last two Fellgor are done! My Kill Team is ready to wreak havoc. 😊
I like how the gradient on the shield turned out. And the colour of the cloth parts. And the psyker eyes.

I really enjoyed painting them and I learned a lot. Especially how I want to develop my own handwriting in miniature painting moving forward.

I have so much to learn! Very exciting.

Der Unterschied zwischen rechtem und linkem Menschenbild ist im Alltag ganz einfach erfahrbar. Ich habe bunte Haare, bunte Klamotten, queere Sticker auf dem Rucksack.

Mich fragen Fremde in diversen Sprachen nach dem Weg, lassen ihre Kinder "kurz mal" in meiner Obhut im Zug, wenn sie aufs Klo müssen und gehen einfach davon aus, dass ich nett und sozial bin.

Im Prinzip ist also allen schon klar, welches Weltbild das ist, das uns als Gemeinschaft weiterbringt, ne?

Three Beastmen nearly done. Just waiting for the technical paint to dry, so I can finish the bases (may take until tonight at least, probably tomorrow).

I did a lot of happy reading this weekend, so it's okay that I haven't finished the Kakophonii and only got three Beastmen done. It's my hobby time, not a job. 😊

They are kind of Blanche-coloured. So maybe it's #FediPaint, too?

Finally!

It's been so long since we Emperor's Children-fans got any good novels. Since I loved his short story, I am looking forward to "Lord of Excess" very much.

Let's hope it's not a total letdown (read: absolute shitshow) like "Genefather" was last year.

Fingers crossed! Short story was great. I am optimistic. Yes I am!

Oysters and lobster used to be peasant food ... Till the entitled rich screwed that

Lamb shanks, pork belly, cheek all used to be the "cheap cut", we all knew it was the best, tell the rich tried it and found out it tasted delicious

That's making me so furious! So much more expensive than the animal based stuff, even if it's cheaper to produce and so much better for the planet, because it needs less water and land and other ressources.

@melissabeartrix I tried this and it just isn't as good. Or I'm not a very DIY-person.

I mean, people aren't keeping their own cows and goats for the most part, either.
The point is that the tax on plantbased milk is double the tax on animal milk where I live and that's absolutely infuriating and without reason.

And it's not just the milk. Look at the prices for dried soy. Or for other proteinsources-alternatives that are not beans-in-bulk.

(I need to find a relaxed stand with social media. I have to stop being devastated that so few people seem to be interested in my art at all, while other artists get so much interaction.
I am enough. My art is enough. My beginner-minis are okay. It's an acquired, very special taste and I don't need anybody to like it except me.

@ArneBab Das sind dann aber auch nicht die Fans, die sich noch an Oldhammerzeiten erinnern, als alles mit einem Augenzwinkern gemacht wurde und zu denen die Doktrin "everything is canon, everything is a lie" geprägt wurde. 😁

In den Neunzigern hätte man solch steife Gestalten vom Spieltisch weggelacht.

Klar mag ich auch die Horrorseite und zeichne gern den Bodyhorror (ich bin ja eher auf der Chaosseite unterwegs), aber gerade den Körperkult, den Astartes repräsentieren, finde ich auch toll.

Kennt Ihr das? Ihr seht ein Spielzeug, ein Spiel und es triggert Euch so dermaßen, weil Ihr es als Kind auch hattet.

Und es muss genau diese Version sein. Eine neue Version, eine andere, eine bessere ist völlig uninteressant.

Bei mir war dies gerade der Fall, als ich bei eBay über Junior Memory Ravensburger gestoplert bin.

Und ja, es muss genau diese gelbe Version sein. Sie ist von 1969. Mein Cousin und ich haben diese Version vor +40 Jahren stundenlang gespielt.

Frau mit überschaubaren Deutschkenntnissen und robusten Manieren informiert mich, dass ich das erst ändern kann, NACHDEM sie es nicht geschafft haben, mein paket zuzustellen und es dann eben sonstwo landet.

    @SheDrivesMobility VW stellt die Produktion des UP ein, dem Arbeitspferd für schmales Geld. Nun muss ich meinen alten UP (zehn Jahre, 360k Km) hegen und pflegen - denn ein neues Auto ist für mich nicht drin!

    Aber schön neue SUVs auf die Straße klatschen! Tonnenschwerer Schwachsinn für besserverdienende Wohlstandsverwahrloste.
