New Case, Who Dis?

So after hearing about those Jucoci miniature transport cases for so long, I finally saw one in the wild, and I must say they look very nice. All this to say, I now own a case that can actually hold a Chaos Knight army without playing Tetris to keep all the spikes from tearing each other apart.

Half of the clear plastic ghosts box painted up. Knowing how quick and easy they are, I'll smash through the other half of the box when I only have a couple of hours to spare.

day 922

Worked some more on my new kids. Lots of love for this here sorcerer but he's a bit of a problem given his previous owner didn't varnish him before priming. Chipping might occur.

Anyway once I've gone and done the skin I'll show you some sexy chaos leg action

My first painted Age of Sigmar army! The Nighthaunt Vanguard box, getting ready for the Spearhead game mode. Heavily inspired by the grieving legion theme, but with some brighter colors. My wife mentioned that it puts off a Scooby-Doo vibe and I'm ok with that.

Day 8

Cloak and leaf updates - I’m happy with the depth on the cloak so far

entry across the line! Despite being last minute dash, I loved these up in a style. Completely committed to making myself paint in a totally different way to. Goal will be to get the rest of the warband finished and in this style, and to get their display base/some new terrain to match.

Thank you as always to @Berit for this wee distraction - it was very appreciated in the last month and a half.

And of course the team shot! Couldn’t post without this, could I?

Day 6

Today I varnished my Carnelian, so I am calling that half of the project done, and drybrushed a highlight onto Belthanos

Added a goblin shaman to the army! Need to do a goblin unit for him to lead. ( got to build the 40 from the battalion box)

He looks grumpy so I think he will get some spells off!

I swear I’m not just screaming at you because I want to, swear @erikcats made me do it… that and I want to scream Mordheim at you. 1/7

The Brothers of the Green Handkerchief. As nice a mob of religious zealots as you’re ever going to meet - including some situably badly named characters including Captain Heinehienicksoon Von Karmle Glassen Auge and his three dugs, Duggle, Gruffe, and Wafver Wafve.

2/7

The beginnings of a Bretonnian Warband whose silly names have stuck around and now are the names of my Brets, including Rupert d’Hallion.

3/7

You might recognise some of these craft souls - they double up as my Stir River Partol for , they’re the same in but run as Reiklanders.

rollleafd,
@rollleafd@warhammer.social avatar

4/7

Some hired swords of much renown including my favourite entry Luthor Wolfenbaum. Also on display are the bane of my Mordheim Existence - the Dwarf Treasurer Hunters piloted by @seanayres5.

6/7

Here’s some pieces from two warbands I’m working who couldn’t be further apart. They’ll soon grace the Tabletop and make names for themselves when I drag some folks together to introduce them to in the not too distant future.

@rollleafd@warhammer.social avatar

And finally 7/7

The Undead. These napped fellows were piloted by Ms Drumlinhat when she cordially agreed to a couple of games. They delivered a sound trashing to some Witchhunters as befits the sentiments of both themselves and my marvellous otherhalf.

Long time no toot. finish line is just around the corner, and I’m still in the middle of things.

I went in on some some watered down skeleton horde, followed up with a glaze of Wraithbone with a pin prick of red through it to help bring up the colour (recommendation from an Uncle who actually knows what he’s talking about). Pretty happy with where I’ve got to tonight - but seeing a couple of evenings still ahead here!

The diorama base is still a million miles from the finish line, so that’ll have to be a follow up I’m afraid. Have a wee sneak peek. 😶😶😶

Having finished the Cauldron of Blood it's time for something a little less intricate, as a treat! The Endless Spells in AoS are some of the most fun models to paint, and since they're formed of magic who cares if you pick out all the details? But in this case... a blood snake is made of blood, so of course it's (three different shades of) blood red!

Michael and Graham are playing against each other at todays @novemberechowargaming and it’s been a tense game so far with Grahams Daemon engine dying, and taking out half of Michael’s Lascannon squad

It’s been a brutal game!

Predator tank conversion.

Heavily modified for my personal army/collection.

External:
Changed the engine layout,
Added custom sponsons,
Spaced armour,
Bits and pieces,
Working hatches,
Dozer blade...

Internal:
Fully decorated,
Ork driver (plugged in, VR set up),
Tyranid gunner (lots of re-posing)...

This one took months to complete.
Many of the details are

Rear / side view of the Predator tank. The PR1CK (prick) graffiti is a reference to Rik Mayall, who passed away during the making of the tank (unrelated).
High angle view of the Predator tank. Showing that all the hatches and guns are fully mobile.
Front / side view of the Predator tank. The HR Giger freehand graffiti is a homage to the Master who passed away during the making of the tank (also unrelated).

DrH,
@DrH@warhammer.social avatar

More photos of my Predator tank conversion.

The dozer blade is made from plasticard, heated and bent into shape.

The support structure is mostly plastic sprue and the pistons are plastic rod/tube.

The dozer blade can actually be removed, leaving the frame behind. The idea being that I could create different blades.
I have not got around to making any more.

Top side of the Dozer blade.
Underside of the tank and dozer blade.
Left side from low angle of the Predator tank.
