Having worked on an app that incorporated these kinds of error messages, it’s not about bordem, it’s about not scaring/confusing the user. “Something went wrong and your computer will restart” is more understandable to a layperson, than “Exception: Segmentation Fault”. Usually messages also need to fit within an organisations documented “tone of voice”. Personally, my preference is for friendly text followed by technical details.

I think a lot of trans women struggle to take up room in women’s spaces, whether that be because of internalised or external bigotry. I usually seek out explicitly trans, or pro-trans, spaces.

My preferred one is Withings one’s. They’re hybrid watches which means they largely have a regular watch face with a little screen and a heart rate sensor/gyroscope. Best of both worlds in my opinion.

I am definitely more eepy than I used to be. Still got insomnia though :(
