It looks like #GooglePlayStore is testing out switching Search to its own dedicated tab. I like it, makes it easier to one hand on a big screen

Circle to Search is rolling out to the Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, and Pixel 7a and will be coming soon to the Fold and Tablet!

It's also rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series with the One UI 6.1 update!

Soon, Circle to Search will also be able to translate text in-line!

Google may have started rolling out Quick Share to some Android users. One user reports seeing the new Quick Share (formerly called Nearby Share) on their Pixel phone.

BEFORE YOU UPDATE TO ANDROID 14, PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING!

I want to know how long it takes for your device to apply the update. I'm ESPECIALLY interested in seeing how long it takes for it to "optimize apps". So after the Android 14 update finishes downloading, tell me how long it takes to install the update and then optimize apps.

I don't need an exact time, a rough estimate is fine! So in summary, I need to know:

There are new guidelines for publishing #WearOS apps and OMG. It's madness. I'm so close to remove my Wear OS app. I'm unable to update the app.

As usual - I have no clue what is the reason for rejection.

Do you have idea what could it be @yschimke? What does it mean "connect".

Interesting: Google Play Protect will apparently soon perform real-time threat detection for newly installed "unknown" apps.

Currently, if you sideload an app that hasn't already been scanned by Play Protect, Google Play will ask you to submit the app to Google for analysis. It seems that soon, Play Protect may also perform some local analysis of the unknown app, though I don't know how/what it'll check for.

Wish there was an Android Studio Lite version of the IDE that is targeted to low powered devices and has only bare minimum features to develop an app.

"Quick phrases" let you skip saying "Hey Google" on your Pixel for things like snoozing an alarm or answering a call. Soon, a new quick phrase may be added: notification voice replies.

FINALLY! According to Kamila Wojciechowska, the Pixel 8 may support DisplayPort Alt. Mode, meaning Pixel will finally have proper display output support!

And what'll that be for? Probably desktop mode, meaning Google's finally taking on Samsung DeX!

After a long break, I went back to #sourdough #bread #baking, and thanks to 'The Bread Code' (https://www.the-bread-code.io/), it was nearly painless. Just after a few bakes, I got those beautiful loaves
