I knew I’d get a comment like this eventually. There’s no rational reason it should be adding this data at all, and there should be a way to disable this behavior. The camera I use doesn’t add this data when I take a photo, and there’s no reason taking a screenshot should do so.
The software version doesn’t just say “Android 14” either. It looks very specific.
No matter how you look at it, this is not an acceptable way for a device to behave, with no way to change it in settings.

Except it looks like the border policy is shared by both parties. More people are being imprisoned and deported under Biden than were under Trump, but anyone with a modicum of empathy is told to stfu for the sake of a campaign.
Not to discredit liberal Israel supporters, but it seems odd to see the left suddenly going mask-off on their antisemitism when historically it’s the far right that has been antisemitic. Maybe it’s a case of horseshoe theory, it wouldn’t surprise me.
I’m gradually getting to the point where I’ll drop Spotify. Shoving ads for podcasts in my face every time I launch the app was bad enough, but now their app has become such a bloated mess that it bugs out whenever my phone is switching between wifi and mobile data. I have more than 1k songs downloaded just so I don’t have to deal with that, and now I have to deal with it because it’s more important to them to show ads and promotions than it is for their app to do what it’s designed to do.
And before anyone says “tHoSe ArEn’T aDs,” showing me recommended artists and podcasts against my will is absolutely a form of advertising. Do you think they’re showing me new releases from Joe down the street? These are paid promotions, aka ads.
