@derthomas generally I feel like the story isn't interesting. I wanted to like the show, and I tried to like the show.

I feel like they nailed the world-building and the look, and made a few interesting characters, but I haven't enjoyed the story. After 6 episodes I just can't get into it.

@IdahoLark @JoBlakely unfortunately it isn't one wildfire. There are 47 wildfires in Alberta and 121 active wildfires in BC. But it's the ones in northern bc blowing into my city.

Unfortunately Canadian summers have become smoke season. It's almost constant with Climate change.

@derthomas. Iceland in September was the most intense I've seen if you fancy a trip up north.

I know most people think Canada is north but where I live is the same latitude as Hamburg

My toe ulcer is healing fast. It's less than 1/3 of the size it was 2 weeks ago. I can walk without a limp for the first time in months, and I went on an actual big boy walk in nature with my dog today.

Did wonders for my mental health.

Speaking of German/English homophones I was an exchange student in Germany way back in 1996 when Seal released "I want to fly like an eagle."

And German kids kept singing things like "Ich will wie ein Igel fliegen" and laughing. Which of course means "I want to fly like a hedgehog"

Good news is I don't have a bone infection, or skin cancer.

The bad news is I still have no idea why the wound on my toe is still not getting any better after 5 1/2 months.

@derthomas @mbr thanks I've tried but without getting too graphic there is far too much exudate to leave a bandage off it. In the last few weeks I've learned I need a minimum of 2 layers of alginate dressing following by a foam dressing or high absorbant gauze pad and then I go 6-8 hours before it's soaked through.
