Bolts are being replaced by Blazers at Chevy but the U.S has definitely made an affordable EV. If you qualify for the rebate, and especially if your state has its own, it’s much cheaper than an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle.

That’s just upfront. Then consider that maintenance is roughly 30% less and you’ll typically pay 30-60% less on energy/mile compared to an ICEV. Article from January but still.

Biden passed the biggest climate plan ever to reduce carbon pollution, created over 270,000 clean energy jobs and counting, enacted the first-ever U.S. drinking water limits on PFAs, and protected more than 41 million acres of public lands and waters so far.

Trump rolled back over 100 environmental protections, gave big oil a big tax cut, opposed addressing PFAs, and is the only president in history to expose more public lands than he protected.

A vote for Biden is a vote for climate progress.

This is just further proof that the true GOP base is the billionaire class.

If the income cap on the Social Security tax was lifted, SS tax rates could be cut in half and the program would still be essentially solvent forever.

But Republicans seem to only be willing to come up with something that takes away from the rest of Americans.

Republican budget would raise the age of retirement for Social Security:

I can’t believe it took me this long to figure this out, but there are really a lot of people with loud political opinions who’ve never done any actual organizing.

Like have never attended a town hall, or a petition gathering convention, or gone door to door, or done even some shallow discussions with anyone, let alone some deep, years long dives. Not gone to a borough meeting or a planning commission hearing or a school board meeting.

Never gone to a march. Nada.

I really hope that changes.

@TonyStark @justafrog It’s definitely annoying when they don’t live in your state and make fun of your state or tell people what’s happening in your own state and the account has clearly never set foot in your state.

TonyStark, to random
@TonyStark@progressivecafe.social avatar

Really, I get it, but not too many people in the United States want to hear from people who don’t live here or vote here on who to vote for or how to fix our politics. I really would never think of telling someone in another country what to do, and it kind of goes without saying there’s quite a few that deserve criticism.

It’s just irritating and turns people off. We all understand the U.S. has a huge impact, but really, it’s not helpful in the least.
