As an American, it’s really weird hearing (blanket statement repeated ad nauseum) how liberal Europe is while seeing countries only just now legalizing marriage. And I realize that the U.S. only defends marriage at a federal level because our courts decided it was a constitutional protection.

I don’t support the death penalty because the government shouldn’t have that power and because mistakes happen.

I do not have sympathy for a lot of the people who get the death penalty. And I would not have mourned if this person got it.

They’re stating that the Bible covers literally this scenario, and it demands financial compensation. The fact that this is so much worse than an elective abortion just reiterates that point. Unless someone wanted to argue that murdering a planned, viable, unborn child isn’t as bad.

Now the Bible is way too radical for me on this. But that’s what it says.

So, as an aside, I’ve heard that the whole story in the Quran about murdering people with Mohammed depictions is about false idols, not about depictions. Basically don’t worship a statue.

Not to take away from the barbarism of punishment, let alone lethal punishment, for doing so.

I’m certain there are people racist against white people. But I’ve never felt like a political party was anti-white. I’ve never felt attacked as a white person.

I think some people have been taught by their parents that their identity is tied to their heritage. And their heritage happens to be slave owners, or in some cases traitors who committed treason to protect slavery.

Can you imagine if a Democratic council mixed defamatory statements into an official statement like this?

Like, “Trump tried to violently overthrow the government, probably because he has a tiny dick. He’s really sensitive. He’s really defensive with any questioning, because of his tiny dick. Like, it must be embarrassingly small. We have nothing against small decks, but he clearly does. Because of how insecure he is about his tiny dick.”

It really depends on who is playing in each. In fact, it might depend on what point of the game it is. If a low ranked CFP team looks like they’ll get demolished, I might watch for a few minutes until it’s confirmed, then switch.

I understand people not liking Biden. Or even hating Biden for supporting Israel.

I just don’t want another 4 years of undermining Democracy, women, LGBTQ, non-whites, non-Christians, the poor, peaceful protest, the constitution, etc. Every day I see another headline that is direct fallout from the other guy being president.

And yes, it’s Biden’s responsibility to appeal to voters (which I take into consideration even when he does things I disagree with). The same way I blame Hillary for refusing to listen to anybody. But I’m also blaming any voter who chooses to help put Trump back in office.

It’s not too surprising. Dems are a lot less tribal. They’re more likely to disapprove actions from their own party. And neither one is getting a lot from the other side

The only thing that really matters is whether the people who disapprove of both will vote one way or the other. Disapproving Republicans are probably voting Republican and disapproving Democrats are probably voting Democratic.
