Hi there, my name is Andy, I'm from Belgium.
I spend most of my free time digitising and restoring classic video game magazines, mostly from the UK.
I've been doing this for nearly 20 years now and I'm here to share my passion for these magazines with others.
I love to read and talk about gaming memories from years gone by.

My main hobbies are gaming, both modern and retro gaming, as well as Japanese, South Korean and classic Hong Kong cinema.

Another issue that I was able to finish thanks to buying a new copy from Mort as my old one was missing the beautiful poster inside.

While not the best Samurai Warriors game for me personally, as that honour goes to 4 and 4-II.
Samurai Warriors 5 is still a ton of fun and it’s just €19 right now at Amazon Holland for PlayStation 4.

Another thing I don’t normally do is recommend random streamers.
But there are exceptions to everything I guess.

While I don’t enjoy Battlefield any more these days, sadly, I used to play it all the time up to BF5.

Yet I still love watching his daily highlight videos.
His channel got hacked yesterday by some crypto scum and he just got it back, but lost a bunch of subs.
So if you like his videos, I know you’ll make his day.

@JTO_is_Typing huh. I never knew that as I never played Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.
That does indeed look very similar.

As far as I know, there isn’t any particular reason for it.
So it’s most likely just and aesthetic choice as it looks a lot more striking this way.
It actually started with Bad Company 2 btw and was used in every battlefield artwork since, although the newer ones are a little more subdue.

@JTO_is_Typing something like that was actually added to the latest BF game a while ago.
Not sure if it’s just a seasonal thing, or a special mode. But there was a level where you went up against some kind of cybernetic soldiers altered in some kind of biolab or something.
Bit like zombies.

Have you ever seen Branded To Kill by any chance?
While I e seen plenty of classic forms from the 40-60s, this one really blew my mind at what they were able to do in the late 60’s.
What a trip. No wonder the higher ups were so pissed at him for making an “unsellable” film at the time.

Continuing to play Ketsui on PS4 and loving every minute of it.
I'm confident that I'll be able to platinum it as well, which is the last thing I was expecting to say about a Cave game. 😂

I decided to go back to the PS3 version to unlock some trophies there as well as I mainly played on 360 back then. My 360 games are in storage right now though.

I forgot how much fun the X Mode was in this release.
Again, highly recommend both versions.

It’s truly incredible.
I’m finally starting to get a bit better at the arcade version as well and not just playing for survival, but also for score.
I do have to admit that I love the other modes even more as they have autobomb as well as bullet cancelling, which is one of my favourite mechanics in modern STGs.

It’s probably since M2 is so tiny that this didn’t release on Switch at the time.
Same with Dangun Feveron, Battle Garegga and Mahou Daisakusen.

Oh, that’s right. I had completely forgotten about that.
I bought Dangun Feveron and Battle Garegga on Xbox but they sold so incredibly poorly, that M2 abandoned the platform and shifted towards the Switch.
Which, looking back at the incredible run it has had, and the stupid amount of shooting games that I got, was the perfect decision. 😊

Yeah, this was a bit of a rough one.
But is issue 4 it's back to having tons of incredible games.

It's really fascinating to see how game droughts from back in the early 90's are preserved in these magazines.
I still remember for example, how it felt early on in the Super Nintendo days after launch.
Very slim picking for the next 3 months or so while I waited for the next releases to finally arrive.
When they did, it opened up the floodgates. 😅
