    @neil I do have experience with air tags.

    Sadly, you DO need to have an apple account to use them and, frankly, I found they create more anxiety than they dispel, because they're not very accurate, they update very slowly, and I have one that keeps telling me I've left my laptop bag at my neighbor's house.

    I've noticed that the tone of the discourse on gender comes prepackaged with a shitton of rage.

    Because I didn't have the channel or platform or whatever this was on, I didn't catch this when it originally aired. After hearing someone rave about it, I took a chance & got the first season used. So far it's a pretty good adaptation of the book- up there with some of the most faithful. The first episode is pretty brutal & it stays consistently disturbing/dark. About halfway through; I'll likely get the second & third season now.

    @theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic @actuallyautistics I don't think I'm autistic (although I've never been assessed), but I have the same experience. As I've gotten older, I realize my intensity disgusts some people. I use the word 'disgust' because I watch their reaction and I suspect it isn't even conscious, but gut-level. I just ick them. I'm just grateful for the friends I have who stick with me.

    A question came up in the online lecture I just attended on authority. Someone said that there was no lack of authority as evidenced by the arrest of peaceful anti-monarchy protesters.

    I disagree: authority's need to arrest those peaceful protesters is a mark of just how tenuous and eminently failed their authority is.

    Authentic, legitimate, and consensual authority doesn't need to arrest those who protest against it. It is capable of arguing its merits without force.

    My day, in three events:

    1. Drove 40 min for Dr appt. Waited 45 min in office to find out that they had scheduled me for a different, far away office without letting me know, and that he wasn't in the office I was at today.

    2. Found out my mom fell over the weekend and hit her head really hard but didn't tell us bc she didn't want us to worry. She's okay? I hope? Had talk re: keeping us informed and that I'd be more worried if she needed help and didn't get it than vise versa
