@SeanHawley I suspect it has to do with usb-c "power negotiations” and ubiquity of old chargers. Right now you can pretty well guarantee that the majority of people who buy something have USB-A chargers so you can just use whatever connector/cable is cheapest to buy. USB-A also has benefit of always putting out 5vdc, whereas USB-C to USB-C needs additional components to indicate what power you want. I have a device with USB-C that I thought was broken, because I plugged it into a USB-C charger and being cheaply made they didn't include the electronics to tell USB-C what voltage to use, so it got nothing. They’d included an “A" cable, but people don't expect that you HAVE to use a certain cable/charger. If they’d used some other usb connector like micro then they wouldn’t ever have the USB-C power issue.
Of course the real solution would be spending the extra pennies on a few components to make it work properly with USB-C.
ING Bank call their call centre employees Customer Care Specialists.
I need to negotiate a 5 layer call menu to get put in a 50 minute queue. Fnck that!
When does the 'care' start?🤔
This is all because they've marked an account as 'inactive' (appears to be termed 'dormant' in their FAQ) with $0.00 available (plenty of money visibly in the account). Despite having another linked very active account.
OMG it was hot and humid this morning. My ride was NOT fun, it was something I endured. Now I'm in my unit with all the windows closed and blinds down until the cool change comes. Happy Australia/Invasion Day.
They shortened a chain for me for free. I've never been a customer before.
Seems to be two mechanics and no sales staff. They've got a small shop front with the usual accessories and low end bikes. But one of the mechanics was working on a pretty high end road bike.
They're in a weird spot in a lane behind Marrickville Road.
I forgot to start Strava until I was already in the trees and couldn't get GPS aquisition. So I walked out to the edge of the trees/road. I still couldn't get enough satellites? to make Strava happy, so I left Strava running and started riding.
A few km later I stopped at a tap for a drink (I'd forgotten my water bottle) and checked Strava which seemed to be working. When I checked Strava after my ride it had only started at this point.
From that point on the route in Strava seems to follow where I rode. However when you look at the segments it says I rode, its wrong and conflicts with the complete route.
Strava is currently trying to convince me to pay by giving me a 30day free subscription. But the only extra things it seems to give me is a 3D view of the route (but not the segments) and training zones analysis. The training analysis indicates most of my ride is active recovery, which is news to my body!
While Strava sucks, its still recording enough basic stuff and I can follow some friends I don't see much, so I'm still using it ... but it's frustrating and amusing in its incompetence.
@SeanHawley I've given up on using the strava app for recording rides. It has so many weird issues and the one time I quantified some and sent it to their support team they basically said, “gps is hard, we can't go tracking down everyone's issues”. ‘:^)
A number of Cockatoos and Corellas landed on the balcony rails. They weren't scared off by me being on my balcony touching their beaks as they tried to grab my fingers, or phone, when I was trying to scratch their heads or chests.
