ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

If you dunk your phone in water the post will teleport away

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Hey, I picked dbzer0 specifically because they were federated with hexbear. I am pretty sure a good chunk of dbzer0 would hop to some other site if defederation happened.

Just because I don’t post doesn’t mean I’m not here!

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Sometimes I feel like the upside of my ADHD cancelled out the upsides of my autism.

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Technically the concept of a planet is a social construct. Scientists have been scurrying around redefining the definition of a planet to exclude asteroids ever since they discovered them. Why can’t they just say that the Earth is a wet asteroid and be done with it?

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

IMHO, GURPS’s reputation as being inscrutible is surprisingly unearned. Imagine if the next version of Dnd launched with a rebalanced version of every subclass released over 5e’s history, every spell from 5e, every feat (even the useless ones), every magic item and the guides to create new ones, the entire Dungeon Master’s Guide, and at least one chaper summarizing the history of the forgotten realms. Imagine if all of that was in the core book, which is so large it comes in volumes like an encyclopedia. That’s what the GURPS 4e core book is. In reality its more of a reference document. All the rules you need to play are either on your character sheet or were used to make your character.

Personally I think it’s reputation comes from it’s biggest supporters. Rules lawyers and pendants, the lot of them.

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Honestly thats my fantasy world in a nutshell

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Embracing it is what made Eminence in Shadow so unironically fun to watch instead of just being edgy cringe

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Yes, because everybody knows the earth is in the sun’s p orbital

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

I stand corrected. I should have checked; I mean, I’m not a quantum astrophysicist.

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Lol. For all I know I could be a quantum aristocrat, but whenever I open my bank account its wave function collapses to about $300

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Totally agree but thats not a hamster

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Yeah, now that I’ve gotten a full night of sleep I see it’s definitely a hamster. The tiny ears, the front-facing eyes, the distinctive splayed hind legs. Idk why I thought it was a guinea pig.

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

This actually is the main application for 2-almost primes. For example, instead of having an arbitrarily large prime be used for the hash, you could use a very large 2-almost prime as a key with its factors being used as 2 layers of hashing. I know there’s better uses, but the more I try to learn about cryptography the more confused I get

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

That is true, it is pretty directly stated that they were weakened, but need I remind you how our favorite frail old wizard beat a Balrog to death so loudly that it could be seen and heard from miles away? I firmly believe that, with power equalling a Balrog and with their wisdom as ageless beings, the five of them working together couldn’t figure some way to deal with it. Maybe they would mug Sauron in a back alley or something. Besides, the actual Dark Lord of this age (the Witch King) would have been relatively fair game as far as his prophecy was concerned, since they are not of the race of Men.

Of course, if they tried to do this and died, Mandos would almost certainly put them in time out instead of sending them back. That’s my pet theory about what happened to the Blue Wizards; I think they broke from their path for what they thought was good reason, got sent back to Valinor, and then Mandos put them in the time-out chair to think about what they’ve done.

ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling,

Thanks. That being said, if he did try to handle Sauron (not to mention going after the Witch King, the real Dark Lord of the 3rd age according to what the history books will say) and then got sent back to Valinor, I am pretty positive the Valar would have put him in in the time-out chair to think about what he did.

Thats my pet theory about what happened to the Blue Wizards. I think they strayed from the path for what they thought was the greater good, died, and then Mandos gave then a stern talking-to instead of sending them back.
