Looking for a place to discuss climate and climate action? Consider checking out the new Lemmy instance dedicated to solarpunks organizing for a better world over at: https://slrpnk.net

The best part is you can participate from your existing fediverse account. Communities on Lemmy can be followed like users and have similar functionality to other fediverse groups!

Try following: @climate

Sorry that no one answered. I’m no expert but here is what I think.

To post from Mastodon to here it’s:

Topic

@Community

Body of Post

To stop it posting in inadvertently, dropping the @community may be the only way? You may just have to only link it differently like you did above.

Basically, I think everything above @climate was the attempt at a title and the excessive characters were cut off. This doesn’t explain why the body seemed included.

Maybe someone will correct me. Cunningham’s Law.

Title is a mess. You can re-edit.

Here's a quick tip for folks on @afl who are new to Lemmy.

As well as appearing on Lemmy, your posts and replies are visible across all the apps on the Fediverse.

That includes Mastodon, KBin, Calckey, and others.

If you want more people to see and reply to your comments and replies, make sure you include the hashtag

It makes your posts/comments/replies easier to find across all the Fediverse apps.

Why not add that tip to the !meta community rather than just AFL?

Each city community could tag their posts with their location, right? Each interest community could tag their interests?

Do you want me to do it?

Did it. In your post, the tag afl had a hyperlink to aus.social. but if we tag here, it won’t auto complete like that. Will it still work just as a simple tag?
