Speaking as an old guy, if someone tells you “I had it rough growing up, but I turned out all right. Everyone should go through that” then they did not actually turn out all right.

I’m not aware she tampered with evidence. What she did - having her own private email server at the time, and getting some low-level secret info on it - was legal at the time. The Republicans had dozens of hearings on the subject, but could never find wrongdoing. Was it not great behavior? Yes. Illegal? No. Kinda hard to get a cover-up charge on something that’s not a crime.
That being said, if she did do something wrong, I’m fine with her going to the hoosegow. Democrats don’t venerate their politicians like Republicans.
