@Xantw0@Siff NB: Most modern filament dryers include a fan, for good reason.
The previous generation, which just heated the non-circulating air inside a box, are decidedly inferior.
At this point I’d likely buy whatever’s cheapest that’s got a timer, digital thermostat and hygrometer, and fan + heat. It’s not a complicated problem; these are maximum-profit gadgets for their manufacturers.
@Xantw0@Siff Quick Amazon survey (US-based) suggests you’re very much on the right track with the Sunlu S1+ (fan) dryer. It covers the basics and seems to satisfy its owners.
Actually, related to this post if anyone here got any good ressources/tutorial on how to get a good version of a FFT or frequency analysis of an audio input in Python, that would be greatly appreciated!
The wiring is crap and I need a smaller battery to hide everything in the snout, but it's WLED powered so it can do all the animation you can think of 🌈
I have now managed to hold everything in a small enough package.
Still lacking some supplies, but that will have to wait for next month because BUDGET.
And I also figured out that I might not need to look into setting up a web server for control since it will be a Pi running it, so I'll just hook up a Bluetooth keyboard or controller 😁
