Any love here for the PenBBS brand?

I love the different kinds of filling mechanism and their amazing demonstrator designs. Their nibs usually work fine right out the box and can become excellent with a couple of touches here and there.

The that I share with you all today is a very special one.
It is the Hydra by Antigua's, a small Spanish maker.
I received this pen and a Jose Munuera nib as prizes in a solidarity raffle.
The beautiful resin and perfect balance of the pen combined with the line variation the nib is capable of make for a truly unique writing experience.

Travel time! And this time I carry with me:

  • My workhorse, the pilot VP
  • The unfinishable Opus 88 Demo, inked with Inkebara Foggy Blue
  • Antigua's Hydra with a special nib for the pure joy of seeing Diamine Chocolate in all its glory

The three of then nicely fit in a Galen Leather 3 pen pouch.

Super smooth, always ready to write and the click mechanism is glorious for intermittent note taking when I am working.

@penfount sadly it is not something that can be seen at first glance, but for me is pens that don't seal well. I have a couple of them like that and I just never use them anymore.

Yesterday was nib grinding/tuning day!
Now this two write... kinda better than before.
I have solved a skipping problem and they have a stubish point now, just need to polish some sharp corners with micromesh and I am sure the will write as good as I can expect.

Today my is the TWSBI 580 <F>, inked with Iroshizuku Tsutsuji. This is one of the most reliable pens in my collection, never dry and never skips a letter.

@paradoxmo if possible, try it on a broader nib. Tsutsuji has a very nice golden sheen but it is not seen very often with the fine nib I have.
