Remember Collada? Yeah the format is pretty much dead at this point, but Blender still has it (because of Sketchup, Chief Architect, Bricklink Studio etc.). However it felt increasingly uncomfortable to continue using OpenCollada (that embeds old 3rd party libraries with several dozen known security issues). So here's a "cleanup fork" of OpenCollada that gets rid of the security issues part (but also gets rid of everything Blender does not need). https://github.com/aras-p/OpenCOLLADA
@Drwave it is really strange that an official Khronos project keeps on embedding 3rd party libraries from year 2008. Would be fine if said libs would not have 18 critical, 42 high, 43 medium CVEs 🤯
@BartWronski@ninepoints probably different kinds of “learning approaches”. I’ve seen both kinds - where they prefer to start high level and dig deeper if/when needed. I’ve seen others who are paralyzed by high level overview and can’t progress unless they understand everything. For them starting with tiny, but low level, things is better and gradually build up larger understanding from small pieces.
I'm not actually not sure yet why it doesn't start until clicked or tapped :D
It could be related to the WebAudio context not allowed to play until resumed, but I haven't seen yet that this "freezes" the entire app. At least this means that the audio and graphics are in sync.
I'll see if I can add a text message to "tap or click to start" or smth, then I'll prepare a PR.
One of my favorite things for art to do is take a concept that is patently ridiculous but then commit so hard and execute so well you are forced to meet it on its own terms.
Anyway the Muse song "Knights of Cydonia" and the accompanying music video are like close to 18 years old now and they're still awesome
All those QoL things you wish Windows had are here; window layouting, easy access to accented characters like macOS, file quick look like macOS, Alt+Space quick launch like ma…
Look it takes a lot of stuff from macOS before Apple became like they are now. This is good
