One thing that the media misses in its coverage of the "Return To Office" and layoffs is the crippling morale hits they deliver to the people who remain employed.

Probably because the people who remain are mostly scared shitless of talking to the press, and the retaliation that would follow.

I haven't seen a genuine smile from anyone at work in over a month.

Sure, there's the forced quick smile between prolonged periods of grimace, to indicate they're not mad at me personally. But still.

I really want to swap to Wayland but Plasma Wayland doesn't launch and Sway has some deliberate limitations that makes launching Steam games... not work sometimes. Not sure what to swap to but maybe I'll give Sway another shot and work through the issues.
