The insect glue, produced from edible oils, was inspired by plants such as sundews that use the strategy to capture their prey. A key advantage of physical pesticides over toxic pesticides is that pests are highly unlikely to evolve resistance, as this would require them to develop much larger and stronger bodies, while bigger...
It just really feels weird to me to describe something as GLUE, but then also say that it doesn’t use chemicals. One thing I take into consideration most times I’m using glue, is whether the item I’m gluing will be melted by the glue.
I get what they’re trying to say, but glue is a description of a chemical compound in my mind.
Apparently similarly mechanically powered displays involving cams to actuate number segments were pretty popular back in the day. Here’s a YouTube video I came across one day a while back about one: youtu.be/TANe2d0VTGQ?si=unBJmfzs6A_7PWkM
Absolutely horrendous. I stopped watching her after that. I don’t care if it was good intentioned or not, she obviously should have expanded her understanding of the topic before presenting herself as an expert on it, and that makes me wonder how many other topics she covers in this way.
I’m on my second one of their trackball mice in 8 years, and the first one only failed because I hit it too hard getting frustrated at a videogame. My G915 mechanical keyboard is going strong at 3 years old now, and my brother even left it upside down in a puddle once. I really don’t get all these accessories of failing Logitech hardware.
Seriously, I can personally attest to seeing people doing batshit crazy things such as passing on the left, off the road, on uneven grass, with one of those decapitate-ey looking cable barriers within 2ft of their vehicle, all over traffic going 55MPH in a 55MPH zone.
I figured out you can disable Bluetooth telephony services if you navigate deep into the printers and other devices control panel. But this might also disable the mic. I’m not able to test it right now.
If poor people were able to plan their shopping trips and spend the money required to take advantage of the cost-savings of couponing, dollar stores wouldn’t be so dominant in poor areas. To actually save money couponing you have to be prepared to spend to buy in bulk most times.
The patio furniture seems a more apt example since the tenant probably isn’t expecting a return from their likely decorative garden plants. Whether it’s more heinous to do to a commercial renter or residential is another interesting question though.
I wonder if there’s any way to unlock the parts once they’ve been separated from the phone that locked them. It definitely seems like they’re just trying to kick the can on right to repair and say they’re definitely dedicating resources to sustainability and consumer protection.
They’ve been over-promising on this product for more than ten years now. I remember watching promotional videos no later than 2013 for this exact product under the same Humane name. It’s honestly kind of impressive that they kept their over-promising in lock-step with the progression of technology.
I swear, every time most of the time I see someone being particularly rude, ignorant, and inappropriate on a post (usually political in origin, or they swing it to being political) I click on their profile and see it has been created that same day....
Voyager has a setting to show a baby emoji next to the name of a user if their account is less than a month old and an account age. Probably one of the best features I’ve ever seen for immediately recognizing troll accounts.
You may like Shokz. Their headsets are wireless and bone-conducting. The drivers get pressed to your temples with a flexible wire connecting them and you hear the sound conducting through your head instead of your ear canal. The only downside I’ve experienced with them is that they can only drown out so much noise, so if you’re planning on using them in a noisy environment, probably go with another choice.
