I was wondering, who was the first #trans person you ever knew?

for me, it was one of my closest friends that I met in cadets. she had put it in her profile on discord but I didn't really think much of it early on.

the next two I met were two trans guys in my highschool's GSA. they were the first trans guys I had ever met and really helped me to realize that not everyone wants to be a girl. they helped me try on pronouns in a safe environment and figure out what I wanted to do :bear_love:

I just heard someone ask a ChatGPT expert "what is the first big real human problem that AI will solve".

There were fifteen very long awkward seconds of silence as he tried to come up with an answer, and that is just the perfect metaphor for all this research and fervor into LLMs.

it's crazy we've had super constant growth on the instance
it seems my server can easily handle it and has been overall pretty snappy. I doubt I'll need to rescale it anytime soon, but it's nice my hosting provider makes it really easy if need be

I'm absolutely loving this spirit of malicious compliance that's creeping into the subreddits that have been forced to reopen.

/r/pics started it off by holding a vote where their users overwhelmingly said that the only pics they wanted were ones of John Oliver looking lovely.

Now /r/WellThatSucks is purely a place to post pictures of vacuum cleaners.

And /r/iPhone is only permitting posts that are pictures of Tim Cook.

All of these policy changes have been voted and agreed upon by the subreddits' users, so Reddit can't even complain that the mod teams are going against their users' wishes.
