When my husband and I raised voices at each other, Sir Kitty ('03-'20) would come and yell at us, get on my lap, and get up in my face until we stopped to pet him, which seemed to be the only thing that would calm him.
Murphy is 20 years old and is deaf now, but still jumps up onto my lap and occasionally chases after strings. They told us he was found in a storm drain. He has been with us through 4 moves, the last time being just a week ago where he survived a 17-hour drive in a cramped car and pooping in a moving vehicle. He is a survivor and a sweetheart.

In my younger days of hitting the club, I would use it every time I went out. Wallet in right back pocket, lip gloss in small pocket.
I never use it now. Now it’s wallet in left back pocket, phone in right back pocket, keys in right front pocket, earbuds in left front pocket. If I’m working and wearing cargo pants, work gloves go in left back pocket and wallet shifts to a more secure left leg pocket, pens and box cutter in right leg pocket.
Our little (6months) Nori girl, has just been to the vet to get castrated. What a champ she was! She’s now recovering from the surgery, giving her unlimiteds (and much deserved) amounts of cuddles....
I have a senior cat who needs a pill every day. He’s on a restricted diet for chronic kidney disease so I avoid giving him treats. What I do is give him the pill by putting it down his throat right before feeding him, so the food itself is the treat. He’s super used to the process now.
I made this some years ago for my niece who I think was around 6 years old at the time. I’m very happy with how it turned out. Sorry, I don’t remember what pattern I used. I stuffed it with old socks and T-shirts that I cut into pieces.

This guy I had a huge crush on in junior high tracked me down when I was in my 20s. I was thrilled at first, then learned he had turned into kind of a cultish religious nut. Instant turnoff.
Then there’s my first true love from my early 20s. I can’t remember why exactly we broke up but we stayed in touch and even hooked up again some years later. Then we both got married and eventually lost touch. He reached out to me again recently, and I was hit by that same old feeling. But I realize it’s like what you said, it’s a feeling I once had. People change over the years – I sure have – and I know almost nothing about him now. Plus we’re both still married. Still flattering for me though.
