@daviwil I'm so bad at editing that I avoid (to learn) this as well!

Every time I think: maybe I should import @sachac's Elisp to mark timestamps, like "cut from here to here".

I also have no ideas about video management. Like, it's simple enough to cut from audio, but making 6 pieces form a 10min screen recording with re-done sections, I'm quite overwhelmed :/

I'm really happy with the device as a reader and note taking tool. The pen feel and eink is nice.

But exporting book annotations in a useful format for processing is 👎

I'm apparently better off going through the annotations inside the app, just like I'd process book annotations with the book on my desk.

Highlighting often lacks context, I found. I'd need to highlight a whole page sometimes. Otherwise, the highlight would be an effective, well, highlight, but I'd have to jump to the page and check what the rest there is about.

Your wiki doesn't say how you process shared highlights exactly. Any tips?

@vkriauciunas Pumpkins will go around the raised bed; inside, we will put stuff that was nibbled to death by slugs last year. Green beans, spinach, salad, kohlrabi, and the like

@jbaty Hmm I remember a time with notmuch that I flagged files for trashing, then after that succeeded, moved them into the ./Trash folder during post-new 🤔

Does "Expunging" behave more like, say, Mail.app? You delete, and it's in the Trash, or does it rm the mail?

I've been more or less successful with Maildir sync, but I don't really seem to grasp all of the settings because sometimes, stuff vanishes :)

    @baldur I like your page typography quite a bit, I noticed today, looking at it on a properly large screen!

    Unsolicited feedback incoming:

    If you remove the li padding-left, you'd get hanging punctuation. As it, the punctuation both hangs to the left and the text is indented to the right, breaking with the vertical baseline

    @baldur FWIW I'm personally a fan of left-indented, non-hanging punctuation and indented lists, because I argue that this makes it easier to find/scan for list content.

    Hanging punctuation looks more beautiful, though.

    In the end, neither should affect actual legibility or comprehension[0] much, so ... preference?

    This kind of could work. It's not perfect, but that's a hard exercice to build paywalls.
    If you have ideas for improvements, I'll take it!
    (And yes, the animation stops when reduce motion is on)

    The app to transcribe audio is really nice. Voice recognition and editing the text to affect the audio without any seams, that's amazing!

    I'm so bad at editing anything in general, though, that I struggle to complete any project.

    I start with a script; so I have the text handy, but can't figure out how to make Descript match the audio (recorded externally) to it.

    I'm not looking forward to shoot and cut video to match, either 😬
