    I should order it before end of day.
    I'm torn between 256GB (I don't need more storage) and 1TB (to get the 16GB ram + extra CPU)
    Both are available for May 15 pickup.
    But the price gap is โ€ฆ frightening.
    Whatever my end choice, I don't want the nano-texture extra, because I'm afraid of its maintenance.

    @MuseumShuffle That's what I'm scared of.
    But what could justify one extra CPU, and double the memory?
    I'd hate the FOMO of not having a feature, and I would be very upset that something would be hidden a month before making a grant tablet already obsolete.
    It would be a bold move from Apple

    A question for more experienced developers than me:

    We have this setup where all requests go through a PHP script for authorization (think: cookie) checking before serving files.

    That's fine with HTML, but less ideal for 5MB PDFs.

    I'm trying to search for ways to use PHP to allow/deny access, but otherwise let the web server (Apache) do its job.

    Is there such a facility to rewrite requests for auth, but then go on serve the static files?

    @ctietze php can be quite efficient in terms of execution and memory to serve a static file after an autorisation check.
    Symfony http component have a static file response that does that very efficiently.
    Not sure for apache autorisation and redirection but I'm fairly sure it might be possible as well.

    Really sad if the Kerbal Space Program studio is really being shut down just as they were starting to turn things around. I was looking forward to picking it up once it had more content, but I guess that's unlikely to happen nowโ€ฆ

    I have a question for the Swift gods:

    On my journey to convert SwiftyJSON in Cork to Codable, I ran into a slight problem. Some of the JSON Iโ€™m parsing has this format:
    [{formula: { // the data that I actually need}}, cask: { // empty and I donโ€™t care}]

    Is there a way to access the data inside โ€œformulaโ€, without having to define Formula as a useless struct? Using SwiftyJSON for this made the code really nice, since I could directly access the data in there.

    @davidbures I think it might worth to rethink a bit the modelisation structure, and have something that represents the data you get from API, and then you transform them in something else that will be consumed by the views.
    Going to make you a proposition of modelisation that matches a bit better your jsons
