Oh absolutely. Instead of fighting the establishment, political discourse has devolved into “Oh you don’t like Person A? Then you must be a FASCIST who is licking Person B’s boots!”

And keep in mind that as long as everybody thinks that way, nothing will ever get fixed in this country. Both Team Red and Team Blue know what’s up. They know people will defend their side and demonize the other, while they’re all taking care of the billionaires and laughing all the way to the bank.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

We need election reform. But before anything can be done, people need to get out of their echo chambers and stop denying that “both sides” people exist. Stop taking for granted that everything your chosen team does is 100% right. Start looking at your own side critically. As it is now, the majority of the population is convinced that the other half of the population is a bunch of fascist bootlickers and refuses to listen to anything they have to say, and they take for granted that their side is the only correct choice. Most people are actually pretty purple but won’t admit it.

From my perspective, the Fediverse is full of people who think Biden is the greatest president ever, that we should stay locked down in our houses for the rest of our lives, that everything should be free or provided by the government, and that if you disagree with anyone on anything, you’re automatically a Trump supporter and a Nazi. (I don’t like Trump or his cult, btw.)

I do have a PC with Linux, but I can see where you’re coming from. Unfortunately, Linux isn’t for everybody.

True, but Biden’s on stage telling everybody how racist MAGA Republicans are while uttering racist crap himself and dodging questions about the racist policies he’s pushed.

We need better options, and I’m tired of people telling me I am not allowed to criticize Biden because Trump exists. Neither one of them is good for this country. We could argue about the lesser of two evils, but the lesser of two evils is still evil.

Um, yeah, because never was normal to have so many 75+ year olds in power. They need to retire. And yes, that includes Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The Silent Generation and Boomers ran this country into the ground and never gave up that power.

The awful screen is one big reason I don’t use my System76 laptop more often. It’s the worst laptop screen I’ve ever seen, has terrible light bleed, and has a pink tint. And this is the warranty replacement they tried to charge me for. The first one had the same awful screen, but kept freezing on me randomly.

And the damn thing STILL has hardware features that only work on Windows 10, five years later (like multi-finger trackpad gestures). I’ll take System76 seriously when they start putting good screens in their laptops and get rid of nvidia.

Great. I’m not using a Dell. I have a laptop from a company that supposedly supports Linux first. A company I will not be buying anything from in the future either.
