    I have already spoken about higher mendicity rates where I live. Latlely I noticed a new trend of lonely women sitting on a bench or corner and crying quietly. I haven't explored this subject yet.

    my mum's personal Ubuntu laptop has no backup. we use mailbox.org for her custom domains. it comes with storage (WebDAV). is there an application I can install that automatically backups to WebDAV? no command line stuff preferred, since neither my mum not I can into CLI.

    @kaia déjà dup is a nice graphical application that supports WebDAV storage back end for backups. Really nice and convenient for personal computers.

    What do you think that should look like?

    Probably needs to have OO to integrate with existing APIs. Perhaps start with stronger typing. Maybe it doesn’t have NULL? Better boolean truthy-ness. Native tenplating like PHP. Rust-y numeric types e.g. u16, Namespaces, native module syntax.

    Imagine working with a language not designed in 10 days. what do you think? Blog posts welcome

    @patrickcmiller Does not sound alarming at all. It is a doc file, with doc content with addition to some PDF content.and opens in word by default. And word + VBA is known to be a security threat.

    I wonder why masto only supports elasticsearch and not lucene when it comes to full-text search, since lucene uses less resources compared to elastic

    @selea elastic search has more features and is easier to setup compared to lucene. In someway, elastic search is a distribution of lucen with most configuration you would want.

    @compost seems like you can have it in pleroma, akkoma and some others. The feature is called reaction and you can have a lots of them.
