I used Continuity Camera for a 3.5 hour Zoom call this morning. My iPhone was plugged in (to a charger, not my Mac), and I was surprised to see its battery at only 81% when the call ended. I admit I’m not sure what the battery was at before the call, but my impression is that it lost charge despite being plugged in. Is this a known “feature” of Continuity Camera?

I’m expecting my blog posts to have more equations in the future. Because I use MathJax, equations don’t render in RSS readers, which probably annoys people who read my blog that way (it would annoy me). If I switch to MathML, will RSS readers show equations properly? Does anyone even use RSS to read my blog?

Maybe I’m nuts, but I think reporters are mistaken when they call Trump Employee 4 a hero based on the new indictment. I think that when he says he doesn’t have “the rights” to delete the surveillance video on the server, he’s not talking about legal, moral, or ethical rights. He’s talking like an IT person, saying that his account on the server doesn’t have permissions to delete the files.

On my iPhone, the Fitness and Health apps treat weeks differently. In Fitness, a week is Mon–Sun; in Health, a week is Sun–Sat, which matches the First Day of Week in the Language & Region section of Settings.

If I change First Day of Week, the Health app changes its week to match, but I’ve never been able to change Fitness’s definition of a week. What am I missing, if anything?

Four years ago, my wife was diagnosed with stage IV endometrial cancer. Today, after many treatments—some quite helpful for a while, others that just did nothing for her—she passed away. She was the bravest and best person I knew, and I don’t understand how she could possibly be gone.
