@juandesant @dustinrue @viticci The option key changes the default behavior, which depends on context. If you’re dragging to another place on the same disk, the default is move; if you’re dragging to another disk, the default is copy. I’m sure it sounds weird, but it works well in practice.

@juandesant I agree with your math but not your conclusion. IVF patients have, presumably, the same probability of success each time. So in that problem, the exponent increases with the number of trials, but the probability doesn’t. It’s (1 - p)^n, not (1 - 1/n)^n.

  1. Why Apple Events are boring now.
  2. There's nothing persuasive in that video if you weren't already using an iPad.
  3. Apple talking about people using Final Cut Pro on the iPad is as impressive as someone doing a physical challenge on a dare.
  4. Excluding the Mac version of Final Cut from multicam support is ridiculous.
  5. Final Cut Camera is an AWFUL name.

@leoncowle Thanks! “Longtime Mac user” has an elastic definition. In that post, I was thinking of someone who started on the classic Mac OS, when the keyboard viewer was present but expansion utilities weren’t (or at least weren’t prevalent).
