Trying to switch back to Safari after using Arc for the last year and I’m super confused by the way profiles work.
If I have tab groups setup it seems like the only way to switch profiles is to open a new window entirely? Surely there’s a way to switch within the same window right? 😬 Preferably with a keyboard shortcut or something?
@charliemchapman It’s truly something missing in Safari. But the fact that profiles don’t sync was one thing missing in Arc. Perfection, Ô perfection, never to be reached 😉…
@charliemchapman Hi, I was talking about Arc on macOS where, as far as I can see, Profiles don’t sync. Is it not your experience? (See image). And yes Safari Profiles sync which is for me essential.
I wonder if I could find a better pattern than this title menu for the primary timeline filter of Ice Cubes. It's been a staple of the app since its inception, and I keep adding to it.
@dimillian Hi, I’d like an easier way to add and remove pinned places via a right click / long press on the pin bar. The idea is to have fewer needs to access the menu, but leaving the menu as it is, a one-stop shop basically.
HEY! What are some of your favorite gadgets you got this year? And I'm not talking about an iPhone 15 Pro or whatever... tell me the quirky stuff! Neat products you love and don't think many people know about. :D
@thurrott This thing is stupid. You need a cable to charge it. It’s the first Pencil you can’t directly charge with your iPad without an added accessory. But hey, it’s « less » expensive…
@thurrott As far as I understood, it could be linked to the "link tax" described here. Basically, if you are a referrer as Twitter is in the case and you link to a press article, you have to pay the press publisher if you use more than a couple of words, or the title. What do you think? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directive_on_Copyright_in_the_Digital_Single_Market
