so. in January I was in a bad car accident. fractured spine, ruptured discs, cracked pelvis, broken arm. last 4 months have been v hard. tonight though I'm going back to my adult dance class for the first time. I wasn't sure I'd ever even walk properly again so this is a moment for me. a good one

@bretcarmichael Thanks so much Bret! Getting the bands of colors the way I wanted them in color, hue appearance and order was super tricky but Iโ€™m really happy with how they turned out. I was tempted to name this one volume one since theyโ€™re definitely will be more of them. The possibilities are nearly endless. Appreciate your kind words. ๐Ÿ––

Got to try out the new iPad Pro today at the store. The nano texture screen is pretty and feels nicer to draw on but Iโ€™m pretty sure Iโ€™d scratch it up on day one. ๐Ÿซ 
The new keyboards feel nice and solid. The haptic feedback on the Apple Pencil is neat!
Butโ€ฆ I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll be updating at this time.

What Iโ€™d like from todayโ€™s Apple iPad event:

  • Camera on the long side of the iPad (where it belongs)
  • Longer battery life
  • Faster processor (duh)
  • To not have #LineaSketch Sherlocked ๐Ÿ™

One odd thing Iโ€™ve discovered with the new iPad compared to my 2018 model is that the volume buttons appeared to be reversed. When I hold the iPad in landscape orientation, the right most button increases the volume and the left most button decreases it. But on my previous iPad, these functions were reversed. There must be a setting for this, but I canโ€™t find it on 17.5.

So the seems like the sound setting that controls this volume function is completely missing on the new iPad. Really strange. Guess Iโ€™ll have to re-train my muscle memory. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@chrisdejabet maybe by moving the front facing camera to the landscape side Apple assumes everyone will use it in this orientation from now on? I donโ€™t know itโ€™s kind of annoying.

@nlott Onlybhad it one day so itโ€™s difficult to really judge. My gut says yes though. I always pick the iPad up in landscape so itโ€™s really gotta be better over time.

There are a LOT of fan made SFX remastered clips on YouTube. This remastered opening credits of Star Trek Voyager is at the top of the list. Itโ€™s extremely well done and actually feels like it could be the real deal if Voyager was remastered.

@johnwells Voyager has its ups and downs but also has some of the best characters in all of Star Trek IMHO (Janeway, Seven, the Doctor). ๐Ÿ––
