Ohp and deadlifts both went well again today. Feeling pumped. On Friday I'll be trying for pr on ohp (105lbs/~48kg) and be back at two plates on deadlift (225lbs/102kg)

Went to a leather social and got to meet up with @James who was really sweet.

It was fun to see guys in gear, and I'm strongly considering getting some of my own. The kinkiest thing I have is a jockstrap so I wore that but it wasn't visible. I think the cigars are not for me though 😆

Spending 4-5 hours sanding and scraping overhead today has put me in a tremendous amount of discomfort and even some pain. My fucking elbows, man, fuck.

They are sore from squats last week. I didn't use the safety bar and my elbows got beat up horribly.

I'm having dinner now but will have an edible when I get home. This time it counts as medicine. The Tylenol I took is really going to have to put in some work

Where do yall set the safety pins for bench? For me I can either set it such that, half the time the bar does touch the chest first, but the other half it hits the safety first. That's where it's been when I've actually failed so far. With the other setting, the bar can consistently touch the chest, but if I fail I have to move the bar over where my neck is, and testing that with just the bar my neck does clear it but it is a bit nervewracking to think of failing that with weight

Man, I've gotten so much better at not chiming in when I don't need to in online spaces over the past year.

Like, that might sound a little sarcastic, but it's a thing I've really struggled with in the past and I'm genuinely proud of how far I've been able to come. And it's more evidence that moving over to Mastodon has been a key factor in unlearning a lot of unhelpful shit.
