Scam warning!

Just been cold-called:

“Hello, my name is Sam and I’m a healthcare worker in your postcode area”

Sounded a bit suss as that’s not how ‘healthcare workers’ would identify themselves so I asked him to tell me my postcode area and he put the phone down.

So not sure what scam he was trying to pull but I suggest you don’t answer any questions - unless you like winding up cold callers!

Did a gas/electric fixed tarrif with #OctopusEnergy in February but I read an article today from #MoneySavingExpert which says check your tarrif as the price cap may not go as low as predicted.

So I checked mine and the March fixed tariff for existing customers is now £70 per year cheaper (based on my consumption) than the February fixed. No exit fees so got it swapped over!

Not that I’m watching cos eldest is ill, but this is when having a geographically local instance of mastodon really works! The UK is watching #Eurovision and the commentary via the ‘Local’ instance feed on mastodon.me.uk is great! The main ‘home’ feed is pretty good to as that’s capturing wider European reactions. I know Australia love it too and are watching. Does the US & Canada get it streamed or do they just get strange home feeds for the evening?

Found him! In his bed. Yup. He had moved right down into the duvet it made it look like he wasn’t there. Panic over.

We have Netflix, Disney+, Prime and the usuals like iPlayer etc.

Don’t want to spend money buying anything further like on Prime.

8yr old can scare easily.
