I'm at a crossroads with Mastodon. It's been fun, and I've met some very cool people. Things have changed in six months, though. The community feeling has diminished, and there's more of a "shouting into the void" type vibe now. Too much politics, too many Twit screen shots. Not enough cats and shoegaze. I've been busy lately, and the Mets are sucking, but there's still been a large shift from when I first joined Fedi.
Honestly not sure if I'm going to stick around. Still thinking on it.

@geoffduncan Fair enough. I was sceptical. But Dolby Atmos with AirPods Pro is the best music listening experience I’ve had in the 50 years I’ve been listening to music.
A video with a 360 degree spin showing Bangor Marina, Bangor town, and the sea in Belfast Lough. With wind noise and the noise of a drone flying overhead. There is a blue sky with a few clouds. Beautiful day.
Is there any way of following a #substack without getting the emails? I'd like to just check in every so often, not be inundated with articles I don't want to read.
Tonight's Hey Siri song was selected by Siri. I have a spreadsheet that has an export of my music library from the time I switched from Apple iTunes Match to Apple Music matching, and I wanted a record of what was in my library in case it screwed up. It didn’t.
The spreadsheet has 14522 rows. I asked Siri to pick a random number between 1 and 14522. It picked 8565, which is the row number for New York City in the spreadsheet. See picture.
Apparently it’s 15 years to the day since I joined #Twitter and used it to get the most out of attending #WWDC 2008 where I met some lovely people, many of whom are still friends.
It may be a suitable moment to finally delete my account but it’s sad and hard when over the years Twitter has given me so much laughter, friendship, jobs and has also helped me learn so much about myself, the world and the technologies that are part of my work life.
