I understand why the Labour leadership signed off on the Elphicke defection to Labour. They are in win-at-all-costs mode and want to build as large a coalition on the centre-left, centre, and centre-right as possible.
But I question if embracing Elphicke with her full on to the right (not quite far-right) views was needed at this point in the election cycle.
I don’t think it’ll drive many away from voting Labour, especially as Elphicke won’t be the Dover candidate in the General election.

I’ll just say that his narration of Hellstrom’s Hive, also by Frank Herbert, is superb. It’d be good to point Dune fans to that other book. I listen to that audiobook frequently. So good 😊
I learned yesterday that Michael J. Fox filmed “Teen Wolf” and “Back to the Future” simultaneously, usually one in the morning and one at night. There was also a Family Ties special in there. On one day he filmed all three. 😮
