My thoughts exactly. Improve, have a laugh, and build it as part of the game. Similar to the Malevelon Creek stuff (I canโt remember if I have the right planet there but you get the point.)
Iโd be keen to post there. I recall seeing a federation whitelist mentioned on a thread ages ago to safeguard against hate videos and the likes. Might be worth looking into.
Funny enough some of the most recent reviews have been somewhat positive because of the amount of progress that they have made on the development of the game. If the game were allowed to be developed to full completion, it might be a well received game (Despite the price). Instead theyโve canned it, which is just a disgusting show of business over customers as well as being disappointing for a KSP fan.
Regarding how bad BattleState Games are; I changed my email address a while back and because I have no access to the old address I cannot update my BSG account to the new address. Iโve spent months in contact with BSG and supplied them with everything short of a DNA sample but they will not update the address.
I can still access the account, but not the game, and there is no way to update the address without going through BSG support. Iโve also spoken out on their forums amongst others with the same issue with no response from BSG.
I bought 2 Edge of Darkness editions (one for my ex-partner) and yet I cannot play the game at all. Fuck BSG, good game, dogshit company.
Thatโs how my requests started as well. Then they needed the email receipt and confirmation of the email address that it was sent to (which I have), then multiple types of confirmation that the old email couldnโt be reactivated/accessed, then in-game information like nickname (which I changed each wipe so I donโt know), then username (?) and confirmation from my bank of payment being sent. Thatโs where Iโm stuck. Thatโs like 5 years ago and the two payment methods I possibly used at the time donโt have records for it (very long story).
Thatโs the point where I gave up. The game isnโt worth spending any more of my time haggling with BSG support or sifting through paperwork and emails.
Signed! We need reform on how aging games are handled to protect ownership of paid products and the only way publishers will do that is if theyโre forced to.
I know when things first kicked off we would get server updates semi-regularly such as finances and server load. I canโt say Iโve seen one for a while, just wondering how things are going?
All of the lemmy.world communities I follow are showing weird imo. All the posts still appear on my feed but with a single upvote and no comments.
Itโs a bit of a shame because a lot of the more active communities Iโm subscribed to are lemmy.world ones so itโs not as easy as finding alternatives.
Yep, went through this yesterday with a friend whose PC would crash shortly after launching certain games. For example he could play League of Legends without issue but Hearts of Iron 3, 7 Days to Die, Total War: Warhammer 3 and many others experienced a lot of crash to desktop issues. After setting the wattage for the CPU no issues at all.
Thatโs what I hate about this particular point in time. Thereโs always been image manipulation but never so accessibly high quality. The amount of โcool photosโ Iโve seen where the first comment points out a glaringly obvious (once spotted) AI mistake makes me start questioning any cool photos I come across. It sucks because thereโs definitely amazing people out there making amazing stuff and my first thought now is โis this generated by an algorithm?โ
