When you hear Republicans calling the trial an “injustice,” or saying that it was a “political prosecution” or that the U.S. is a “banana republic”—

Remember that 12 ordinary citizens found guilty.

He was held accountable by a “jury of his peers,” which is how the U.S. justice system is supposed to work.

    A Bloomberg commentator just said, “Well, he’s a first-time felon…” implying that he might not get a harsh sentence.

    @dalfen I am very happy to be wrong. It may end up being a futile exercise if he's not sentenced to prison time, but it's still gratifying.
