Wir mussten hier gestern einen 20-30 Jahre alten Buchsbaum-Strauch (der war ca 2,5m hoch… 🤯) fällen, der Zünsler hat den komplett kahl gefressen über die letzten 4 Jahre.

Der hat eine Menge Schatten und Sichtschutz gespendet. Hat jemand eine Idee, was man als Ersatz pflanzen könnte? Es sollte ökologisch sinnvoll sein, schnell wachsen und viel Schatten liefern.

Ich dachte an Flieder… aber keine Ahnung, ob das sinnvoll ist.

@cjk bin mir zwar nicht sicher wie schnell sie wäschst, aber Felsenbirnen sind toll. Vögel lieben die kleinen Beeren und wenn man schnell genug ist schmecken sie auch Menschen gut

Ich begrüße Feiertage, egal wie begründet, in der Historie der Arbeiterbewegung und Gewerkschaften.

Aber ich verbitte mir, insbesondere als nicht-gläubiger Humanist, eine christliche Beeinflussung meines Privatlebens. Wenn jemand aus Trauer um irgendjemanden nicht tanzen will, honoriere ich das gerne, aber warum sollte ich das nicht tun dürfen? Die tanzen ja auch, wenn ich trauere...

@derickr a bit of Worchester Sauce and maple syrup in the dough can improve the taste significantly. For sweet pancakes I additionally add a bit of Vanilla

Ever since the LLM boom started, I've been saying that AI code generation's biggest impact will be to increase the burden on highly-skilled programmers to wade through the mountains of code created by less-skilled programmers.

How are we supposed to teach future generations? You learn through simplified problems first, which LLMs can solve easily. But you'll need that knowledge to solve the real ones later. How much focus, self-awareness, and discipline can we expect from younglings to still walk this path when their peers solve all problems using LLMs? I have no idea yet how we're going to teach..

@isotopp @heiseonline Übersetzung: Wir erwarten dass du nicht-explizite Requirements im Flur einsammelt, wir kein asynchrones Anforderungsmanagement haben und so durch dich Druck auf das Team ausüben können, weil du auch das komplette PM/EM-Programm machen musst, was wir noch nie remote zum Laufen gebracht haben.

@supergarv vor zwei Jahren haben wir einen Nissan Leaf geleased, damals gefühlt der einzige nicht-SUV mit akzeptablem Kofferraum. Verstörend und sehr nervig.

@janl @supergarv auch wenn es eigentlich jeder*m klar sein sollte: Gerade wenn man ein zweijähriges.Kind hat, das mit ihrem Laufrad die Bürgersteige entlang düst, die Motorhauben, die Platzverschwendung, die fehlende Übersicht. Kein vernünftiger Mensch sollte so einen Stadtpanzer besitzen.
