I am travelling by train from Brussels, in Belgium, to Messina, in Sicily. I am used to international rail travel, but this is my longest one-way trip yet at 2,500 km. Day one was Brussels - Paris - Geneva - Milan. Day two is today, Milan - Messina with an early start that should take me to Messina by dinner time. Beautiful early morning light!

@alberto_cottica I planned on doing the same in the summer, but tickets are crazy expensive (plus the route through Paris is not possible during the olympics). Which train will you take south of Salerno?

Bonne nouvelle : en fรฉvrier j'avais signalรฉ ร  la que un site de l'administration franรงaise obligeait les usagers ร  valider un reCAPTCHA pour accรฉder ร  des services, sans demander le consentement pour la transmission des donnรฉes ร  Google.
Aujourd'hui la CNIL m'a confirmรฉ รชtre intervenue.

Les services publics ne doivent pas obliger les citoyen.ne.s ร  faire du travail gratuit pour entraรฎner les modรจles de Google.

The entire saga should be a wake up call for a more sustainable policy. How come such a crucial project can be infiltrated like this? We need public investment in maintaining code, instead of relying on some people doing it as a hobby, because this is the result:

How do you all manage to travel on European Sleeper or Nightjet? Every time I try to book a ticket it's at least 200โ‚ฌ one way. Where's the catch? #NightTrains
