Why do pharmacies sell so many jellybeans? Prominently displayed?

While getting a blood test today in a nearby medical centre, I passed by the pharmacy and saw they had a dedicated table out the front of Glucojel jelly beans and bears. Inside there was another whole stand.

Do they serve some medical purpose?

'Ditch the lawn' movement in southern Australia shows the benefits of removing the traditional patch of grass in front of homes and planting things that will attract birds etc.

My mother ripped up her front lawn in 1987 and again in her new place in 1993. At the time I thought it was strange but the results in both gardens convinced me that this was a great idea.

@perkinsy like this? Probably not. My landlord is adamant about leaving the lawn wild, despite the neighbour’s hate. Her dad will strim it, tho, once the dandelions stop flowering. Certainly the insects love it snd there’s spinach, parsley and rocket growing wild everywhere.

@perkinsy astonishingly, this wild garden is in the Adelaide hills, the driest state in Australia! Its watered by irrigation system rainwater from tanks, not the sky, and with many layers of natural mulch. Not the meadow area though.

Ive only been here a month. I’ll be interested to see how it fares over winter.

@markrprior If it were hilly, I'd feel differently. Love a hairy descent. Even a lumpy route can have great descents when its TT.

I'm not enough of a cyclist to appreciate flat TTs. Last one that excited me was Cadel Evans vs Andy Schleck.
