Lack of money, I couldn’t afford to pay for a Windows license. After discovering how to install Linux more than 25 years ago, I became eager to learn it and never looked back.

What is the best linux alternative to OneNote?

I’ve no problem with using LibreOffice for most of my document needs, but i haven’t found a good substitute for microsoft’s OneNote yet. I mainly use it to plan my RPG games and it helps a lot. What alternatives are there for organizing notes on linux, with similar features to those that OneNote provides?

I am not surprised. Into Google’s graveyard it goes.

I have the itch: Distrohopping - MakuluLinux – A Whole World of Possibilities (www.makululinux.com)

I have an itch to test out some deb-based distributions. I use OpenSUSE. Although I don’t want to switch distributions, I do want to experiment with some new feature-rich distros. I discovered this distribution MakuluLinux which appears to have numerous personalized desktops and a strong AI integration. Rhino Linux, which has...

What do you use Best Buy/ Big Box Electromics Store for?

What purposes do you use Best Buy/Big Box electronic stores? Do you try items before you buy them in-person or online? Do you shop in-store for products? Are you a purely online shopper? I make an effort to patronize small companies, but when it comes to electronics, I frequently buy reconditioned computers and other items from...

I was lucky to be able to convince most of my family to use Telegram. Now that they are comfortable I can’t get them to try anything else.

Any good tech sites without the fluff?

Preferably without an obvious biased towards a particular company or brand. edit: I should have clarified what to was looking for. I would like to compile a list of lesser-known but useful websites so that I can stay current on tech news without...

Dell XPS 13 Plus Developer Edition comes with Ubuntu. I have the non-developer edition which I run OpenSUSE with no problem.

Any rss reader which aggregates feeds

On Thunderbird for example, there’s no way to aggregate feeds from different places, into just one common view. I’m looking for aggregating all feeds from different places into a common view, where I can globally just keep what I want to read from everywhere and remove what I’m not interested on....

Stumbled upon Novell Suse Linux in the software section of Best Buy. That sent me down the rabbit hole. I actually got caught up in the world BSD specifically DesktopBSD. I was amazed by all the “free” software options.
