I'm riding my #disabled high horse proudly today. Just told the alumni association at my Catholic school alma mater that at this point the only reasonable accommodation left is to avoid sending our kids and grandkids to schools that hide behind the religious institution waiver to opt out of ADA compliance.

Normie safe spaces should not be subsidized by the disabled community.

I worked the first aid tent at the fair for a few hours yesterday. Staggering number of people with respiratory symptoms who came in looking for allergy pills even though the thickened mucus suggested infection rather than allergy. Almost all refused a Covid test and the opportunity for a free course of Paxlovid.

Our civilization is in decline.

Why is it so much easier to find out if a restaurant is dog friendly than it is to find out if it's fully wheelchair accessible?

ADA markings on their ads don't help much. Really getting tired of places where I can enter but the tables or restrooms are accessed by stairs.

It was probably lung cancer that took out her left lung. I couldn't bring myself to increase her suffering to do a biopsy. I let my sweet girl run free this morning. My heart is broken, but I couldn't be selfish. Her eyes told me that she had been through enough and was ready to go.
