It is really time for an update.
This morning, Feb 8, it was -7° after a night of snowfall. The weather since New Year’s Eve has so far been a jojo between extreme cold and full storm to severe thaw and now cold and snow again. I’ve been busy moving food kept outside in and out of freezers. Stupidly enough I decided that -15° was perfect for sorting my basement freezer, whereupon the temperature immediately rose 24° within hours …
So far I’ve spread salt and fed the birds

I’ve bought a new pot, red, beautiful and enameled. The old one I used to have was cracked. And my two cast Iron pots are not enameled.
So I ended up cleaning that cupboard & sorting pots and pans (not really what I planned to do today). And I have loads. Some from the bottom and back are really dirty & need a thorough clean.
I will have to decide which should go for keeping in the basement. For a single person the amount is ridicules & I’ve not even got to the lids on the top shelf 😱

October was an awful month for me, and November as always really sucks. Sun set at 4 pm today and it will only get darker + next week we expect severe frost.
But …
It is now only more or less 1 month until the winter solstice, Dec 22 at 4.27 am (UTC+1), and today my garden was prepared for winter.

I’ve experienced this several times by now. It’s a very popular design among architects (the light & what it does with open width & height + extreme windows, etc.) & among economists that count costs per students, including square meters. I’ve also worked in offices where the leadership actually knocked down walls & had to buy a number of screens after a while as staff was so disturbed that very little was accomplished
