When paying w card, card reader units always say to use contactless or enter card, even when the amount is >contactless limit so c/less isn't an option. I know nowadays there's no limit with G/Apple Pay etc, but the phrasing feels centred around physical cards as it always has

Are there capabilities where the prompt could vary based on amount (i.e. "insert card or use mobile payment"), or not? 🤔

@sally Yes, most terminal applications I have seen will allow the acquirer to vary the prompt alongside capabilities and accepted CVM list when floor limits are hit.

I haven't seen anyone use it for this specific messaging though, and now that physical card contactless with online PIN is allowed in the UK (subject to acquirer/merchant rollouts), the reasons to do it are going away.

more music playback applications and streaming services should support gapless playback imo. some of my favourite albums are designed to be played non-stop, especially when there's an intro track that builds into the first song!

realising that I could take CVs out of a modular synth and pipe them as triggers out into lighting or VJ setups (either via MIDI or directly)

looks like there are one or two modules that do a single CV to DMX, but one could go much further with the concept 🤔

speaking of UK tax, it is once again time to pay my vehicle tax of £0

it's great that I have to do this every year, and they send me letters telling me it's £0 but I still have to go through the motion of going to the DVLA section of gov dot UK, typing in a reference number, and clicking next several times
