It's a very freeing to be able to tinker with ideas when your site is built on @getkirby because it means you can whip up weird functionality like the plugin I made today to output the current Japanese micro season on my site.

And it's so easy to even override the code that it outputs if you’d prefer different markup without touching the plugin code directly.
