This is "the thread". An Austrian, bothered with the lack of action by government on #inflation , built a software to track supermarkets prices. Then it got interesting. The data shows signs of oligopolic practices, supermarkets having the same price changes at the same time, and how variable prices (same product with or without discount) make it difficult to the consumer to show that prices have increased, while feeling it in their pockets. Read it, it's a great story.

Blue Ring Octopus are famous for their venomous bite and their vibrant color. Despite their large personalities, they are small in stature. The fourth image below shows the octopus next to a regular-sized marble. It was a delight to watch this species flash its colors, walk around the sea floor, and even interact with a nearby fish.

Ornate ghost pipefish can be very challenging to photograph as they are specifically camouflaged to their favorite hangouts. We saw them nearly every dive in Dumaguete, Philippines, so I was able to be selective and only image when they were against favorable backgrounds.

Ando a ler um livro que é uma tradução do original em inglês, e estou a desesperar. O livro é grande, e a cada duas ou três páginas tem uma tradução tão sem sentido que tenho que me esforçar para perceber o que deveria ter sido.
ex:
"Impressivo" foi relativamente fácil, deveria ser "impressionante ".
Agora no "ela usava cuecas arrendadas" confesso que demorei um bocado a entender. 😂

Há muitos anos, passei umas férias de verão na praia em Espanha, e Mortadelo e Filemón fizeram-me companhia. Comprei vários volumes, incrédula, como podia haver tantos!!! Mais tarde, ofereci alguns a amigos e a uma miúda que andava a aprender espanhol na escola. Adorava as parvoíces das histórias, e as sub-histórias nos cantinhos dos quadrados. Salamão e Mortadela, na versão portuguesa, farão sempre parte do meu imaginário.
